Metal soaps

Metal stearates are compounds made from fatty acids combined with metals of varying valencies. The most significant metal stearates in terms of production volume include zinc, calcium, magnesium, and aluminum stearates. The greatest advantage of these materials lies in their broad range of applications. Their most important applications include lubricating properties, release agent capabilities, water repellency, gelling capacity, stabilizing effects, foam reduction, and use as an acid scavenger. Metal stearates are available in various physical forms, including powder, fine powder, and granular forms.
